SAN FRANCISCO: Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said the electric vehicle company must protect life on Earth and its space society to expand beyond Earth.

The tech billionaire expressed his opinion about his plans on the microblogging platform Twitter.

“Tesla must protect life on Earth, SpaceX to extend life beyond,” Musk wrote.

In response to a user, he said the company plans to lower the prices of his car if inflation subsides.

Last month, Musk-owned Tesla again hiked prices for its electric cars across its lineup, with some models going up to $6,000.

Meanwhile, a report said electric car company Tesla had laid off workers from its San Mateo office which employed 276 workers.
