Horror Channel celebrates a weekend of classic sci-fi

It’s easy to say that we live in the golden age of sci-fi cinema. Whether you’re talking about the latest blockbuster from the cinematic universe or brilliant CGI extravaganzas straight to streaming. And yet, it is sometimes possible to have the impression that something is missing. Sometimes you’re in the mood for a correct science fiction film. Something with square-jawed scientists, sane military men, and groups of brave teenagers who know what’s going on even if the adults won’t listen. Stories where the threat isn’t a bunch of carefully orchestrated pixels, but a guy in a carefully crafted suit, a model hanging from a piece of string you definitely can’t see, or a stop-motion monstrosity that has somehow more weight than the most awesome CGI you’ve ever seen.

This Easter, the Horror Channel kicks off a gigantic weekend of sci-fi classics, and the schedule is a veritable treasure trove of well-known films and hidden classics.

Tune in to classic sci-fi weekend on Horror Channel over Easter weekend, Sky 317 Virgin 149 Freeview 69 and Freesat 138 channel numbers.

These films feature classic special effects, influential iconic storylines, and truly amazing titles.
